Jedd Walker is a seasoned professional with a rich background in architecture and education. Currently serving as a faculty member at Brigham Young University – Idaho, Jedd brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role.
His professional journey spans various roles, including Teacher, Director of Architecture and Planning Services, Campus Architect, and Assistant Campus Architect at BYU-Idaho. He currently serves as the Interim Department Chair of BYU-Idaho’s Design and Construction Management Department. Prior to his tenure at BYU-Idaho, Jedd held positions as Managing Architect at CRSA and Job Captain at BBSA.
Jedd’s expertise lies in teaching, personnel management, team leadership, project management, and mentoring. He has a strong background in private practice as well as working within a corporation, client organization, and educational institution.
In terms of educational background, Jedd holds a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Architecture from the University of Utah. He also studied Engineering at Brigham Young University.
As a mentor, Jedd served as the Faculty Advisor to the Design and Construction Management Society, a student run society with over 200 members. Additionally, Jedd has met with hundreds of students to provide guidance, advice, and encouragement. His mentoring extends to his current role as a faculty member, where he continues to inspire and guide future graduates.
Jedd served as a Commissioner and then Chairman of the Rexburg Planning and Zoning Commission from January 2010 to January 2017. His role involved contributing to the planning and development of the city of Rexburg. Furthermore, Jedd is currently a Board Member of the Idaho Board of Architectural and Landscape Architects, a position he has held since September 2020.
Jedd is a Licensed Architect, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother, Uncle, Mentor, Cyclist, Runner, and Hiker. Besides his native English, he has working proficiency in Portuguese
