FOUNDER OF SHOEGNOME ARCHITECTS AND OWNER OF A BIM CONSULTANCY.
Jared graduated from Rice University with a BArch in 2005, got his architecture license in 2009, and started his BIM consultancy, Shoegnome, in 2010. Moving from St. Paul, MN to Seattle in 2014, Jared shifted his focus to residential design, rebranding the business as Shoegnome Architects.
Jared shares his knowledge in Archicad and BIM through the Shoegnome Open Template for Archicad and technical tutorial videos on YouTube. He has lectured about Archicad and BIM at various conferences over the past decade and a half, including at the AIACRAN Conference in 2015, the AIA National Conference in 2016, and Archicad By the Beach in both 2019 and 2023. In addition to encouraging the use of BIM and Archicad, Jared is also passionate about supporting entrepreneurship within the architecture industry and uplifting other small-firm owners. Since 2018, he has co-lead the AIA Seattle Small Office Roundtable (SPRouT).
